Bear Mountain is where Southern California's park riders go. It's known for award-winning terrain parks — skill-builder features for anyone just starting out, and a superpipe and big kickers for people who know what they're doing — plus the region's largest beginner areas and the highest lift-served peak at 8,805 feet. If you'd rather stay on the groomers, Exhibition and Geronimo are the longest runs on the mountain. It sits about a mile from its sister resort, Snow Summit, and lessons for every level run out of the Bear Mountain Adventure Academy. Come summer, the mountain trades snow for the 9-hole golf course at its base.
